27. 'Thoughts around the Men-An-Tol'
I am fascinated by the ability of the human mind to envisage something out of natural materials, and then present them back into their environ in such an intrinsic and thought provoking way. These studies are an intuitive response to the conception of these ancient monuments.

31. 'Sense of Place' 1
It is the subtle observations that are planted in my mind. The many views offered to the eye, in and around each stone, often directly in relation to the immediate timeworn environment. The seashell beside the bog whose dark pool reflects the sky above in ever changing weather. Fog banks and shafts of light reflecting off wet and mossy granite. Above all, one departs touched by a powerful atmosphere of man once in symbiosis with his environment, and a real 'sense of place'.
