Cove and Seaside Series
INTRODUCTION
This is a representative selection of ceramics produced between 1981 and up to June1993 at Skyfield Studio. A data base for the variety of themes, styles, colours, shapes and forms. A small 'index code' is included with each image to provide added information.
The 'Cove and Seaside Series' developed out from my profound childhood experiences in Cornwall. Intuitively exploring the seashore and coastal landscape provided endless fun and later much creative stimulation. Here, often, many found objects from a favoured site have been impressed into the clay to recreate the textures and patterns, in the form of a recollection and poetic interpretation of those experiences.
